Tech Tip #1 - VIRUSES / ILLEGAL DOWNLOADS

| I had a client that had about 11,000 viruses on his computer system. Now listen, this is the God’s honest truth, so listen up. 11-THOUSAND viruses. It was so bad, I just nuked his computer and set it back to his factory image, patched up all the existing holes in Windows, and gave him good antivirus software. He came in the following week with pop-ups and porno and casino ads and made like it was my fault. Now the client is always right at my shop, so I took care of it, but I warned him that if he didn’t stop downloading illegal music off Limewire the Recording Industry Association might sue him. I also told him that TripleX-BritneySpears-BarelyLegal-PokerPlace.MP3 wasn’t anything I put on his computer. Limewire and Morpheus and programs like that are HOTBEDS for viruses. So stop the illegal downloads and keep the viruses at bay. |
